The asking price was right around $8k when that ad first appeared on CL a couple of weeks ago. Looks like there were no buyers at that price. Maybe someone will buy it when the price hits $66,666.

Why is the font at the end of the serial different than the beginning?

the 'year' part of the serial number is one font; the 'production sequence' part of the serial number is another font. no visible shenanigans on the pictured serial number. sorry 'bout dat.

As someone who lives in Indiana and has family in Illinois, I have been through Terre Haute about a zillion times. I've even played a few gigs there. Here are the things it has going for it:
-It has a decent state college
-It has a mall
-it's right on I-70.
- Some of you probably still owe money to one of the former local businesses and will never have to pay (Columbia House)

Here are the negatives:
- it is indeed stinky
- it's pretty depressed outside the university
- the guy selling this bass lives there

I think we should have a TB builder challenge to build better workings Mothman clones.
A little smaller body dimensions and better overall proportions might actually result in a pretty cool bass.
