The direction music is headed?

I think I threw up in my mouth a little bit...

Oh my god, whenever she says "friday" its like nails on a chalk board! AAARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!

I know people always say that the music industry's always been crap, but come on, look a Led Zeppelin, Blue Oyster Cult, Black Sabbath, Van Halen, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, I may not be a fan of some of these bands, but I think they have all been considered fairly mainstream, but they built their careers on being different. I dare anyone to name a band that came out in the past 10 years that has come close to touching any one of these bands. Double dog dare ya.

There are a bunch. They just don't hit the radio that often--aside from, say, Queens of the Stone Age.

Hopefully, listeners will learn how to be a lot more discerning.
Well, I suppose that in this model, everyone can get exactly the best music in their own reckoning. The trouble is, any given musician will have trouble selling more than a thousand copies of anything absent some Bieber-esque viral anomaly, and very few will be able to make a living at it without some new revenue channel emerging. I'm not sure what is going to happen.
