The direction music is headed?

Was the music of the 1960's better than the music today?

The music's out there. You just have to look around for it.

Of course it was, and you didn't need to search for it, you just had to turn on the radio. I agree there's still great music out there, but it's getting harder to find. Music took a huge nosedive with the advent of MTV and music videos. Music used to something you heard, so how you looked, or your image didn't matter. Now it's all about image, as demonstrated by that appalling video. My ears need a shower.

There has always been "little girl bubble gum music".
Although it is not very sophisticated (nice way of saying that it sucks), it is a starting point for many young people.
For those it will serve as "gateway/starter" music and they will eventually mature and move on. Maybe.
It will probably not influence music as a whole.
But then again there is no accounting for taste and no one said that humans were particularly smart to begin with.
Perhaps we are actually all doomed and "little girl bubble gum music" will be responsible for the next mass extinction.

Maybe there is something theraputic about babble. It might be underrated and undervalued in our high-tech culture.

"Padup padup padup dup dup dup doo. I'm bringing home a baby bumblebee". Alliteration feels good regardless of what it means. Constantly flexing the intellect gets tiring. I enjoy a little dumbness now and then, as long as it's not pretending to be political astuteness.

I value my dumbness. Without it I wouldn't be half the person I am. :wacky:

Holographics is where it's headed.

You'll need a "holo-player"........so that Taylor Swift can perform right in your living room.

Move over home-theater....it's home-holo time.....

I guess you'll be able to get "holo-discs" ....or subscribe to a "live" performance......

Oh, it's going to be good allright..........:smug:
