The Doors - 5 to 1 bass effect

I am not versed in bass effects. I play straight in to the amp, no effects. This sounds like distortion or fuzz to me. Can any one tell me what pedals I could use to dial in this sound:

Today I was in my car listening to this song, and I was thinking the same question and probably already knew the answer. It's a 360, no doubt about that.

I think that the best fuzz to get that type of tone is a brassmaster with the sensitivity low. It has that type of mid oriented, farty, enveloped characteristic.
A Malekko B:assmaster or Diabolik, or a Hiero BEAD should do the trick.

i have a modified jordan bosstone that gets really close. i'll have to find my FZ-1 to see if it's any closer.
