Lowell, Jack. THANK YOU for posting that. I'm very happy you've chosen to post on this thread, and very happy you're contributing to this thread. Not only I thank you, but the boss thanks you too.

I discovered TB and the Pit pretty much simultaneously in early 2007. The Pit did have its own special charm for a while there, it is indeed too bad things ended up as they did.

A pit full of dudes? Are they studly? Where do I sign up?
Actually, it was about 1% female--just like TB, I s'pose.

I honestly dont know what it is, but if someome would reiterate what happened that made is so bad, either here or via PM.

Inquiring minds want to know/QUOTE]

I'm sorry, but thats just not what this thread is about. You can search and find out a lot of the details. But for this thread lets just agree that ended poorly and use this as a way to remember the Births and Weddings and bury the funeral.

Its good to see the names old names again. I hope EVERYONE is well.

I'm sure it would be more interesting for everyone here to read than an exclusionary-feeling "club" based on another website you used to visit.

I registered there but very rarely visited because it wasn't a very good forum :o

Was Redbird

Had some of my best Forum memories there, made a lot of friends, made a sub community, then created our own country (Gibson Bass forum - Last Bass OutPost, Vintage Guitars & Bass).

I tried to see the best in people, but it turned out wrong. Some things are more powerful than positive vibes.

Still it was a great place filled with great people and wish the Dude luck (I am not a hater)

Steve helped greatly with Lakland, Dark Stars, Thomas Strings etc..
Unfortunately, nothing ever stays the same and most moved on.

In better times-

As Barkless Dog says, I met a lot of really nice people at The Pit and made some real friends there, and recall it fondly. The Gibson forum does live on at it's own new home, we share knowledge and humour as a clost knit family........Thanks Steve, hope all is well.
