As it happens, I tried to create a file in “Sibelius Pentulimate” today. I was able to input the piano part, but the interface is such a steaming pile of diarrhea that I know I won’t be using it moving forward. I still use Sib6 at home on an ancient computer with an ancient OS, but once that machine goes I will be looking for a new home. And I would rather die than give Avid a red dime of my money, ever.
I don’t remember who made it, but there’s a video out there about what a flaming dumpster fire Sibelius became once Avid got a hold of it. It is spot on. Not happening. Avid can pound sand. I’d rather write scores in my own blood with a rusty nib. It’s a shame, too, because Sib 6 was pure elegance embodied.
