I used to have one of those, string spacing was to tight for me......sounded pretty good tho.

Nice one you got there.:) I'm actually impressed that Epiphone could be
bothered to manufacture the non-reverse.

MM somewhere in the threads we had a long discuss about what they Epi's are made of..if I recall correctly, we found some are alder with mahog/laminate, basswood with mahog lam..etc since the many pictures of many burst birds are very similar, and very different thru the years made.....it. basically a mix of whatever they had to use for production numbers, only the spinoffs Gibbirds/Sixx/Goth birds are mahogany.

and the painted ones are alder or basswood with no laminate since the grain is covered....

yes, but don't pay 50 bucks for it...let someone else pick that one up ...wow!

hell, if you want to spend 50 bucks for one, I'll sell you the one off mine for that and it will say epiphone for authenticity :D

The B string on the 5 string Epi Birds seems to be pretty focused and strong. I think it is due to the fact that the tuning key is at the far end of the headstock, so it seems to add more tension. At least it seemed that way to me when I had mine. YMMV

From everything I've seen/read, the NR's have alder bodies. When I had the necks off of mine there was nothing that made it seem like it was made of something with a laminate on it.

I've only seen them with the regular type of bridge. I've never seen one with a 3 point. But then the real NR's didn't have a 3 point either.

I felt the same way when I got my first bird, than another, than another..actually the Epiphone was the last bird I bought. there are a few members who have dozens of birds Gib/Epi whatever, and although I do not have the cashflow like some of these folks, I own 3 heres my Bird-Trio: I know the other 2 are not Epiphones, but they just look good all sitting together in a "flock"... since this picture was taken, ALL the pickguards have been removed to match the theme of the non-pickguard one in the middle.

I'm in love with your Jackson!

You know, I just bought my t-bird because it was $100 and I really was thinking of giving it to my g/f because after all...."I'm a P-bass man, and T-birds just aren't my thing".

So I've had it like 2 weeks now, and I frikkin' love this thing!

I'm playing it a lot more than my P-bass and I can't put it down...
I'm not to thrilled about it being the "goth" version and if I had my druthers, I'd have gotten a burst model....but hey it was super cheap.:p

Anyway, this el-cheapo Epiphone T-bird is totally changing my outlook and now I think I only want to play T-birds....is that wrong?
