The Aguilar stuff is great and I have really enjoyed it but in the past few years I have pretty muched gone old school with Fender AVRI basses and flatwound strings which really seem to fit my current gigs. SO the Fender Bassman line seems like the logical choice to accompany. So now we wait with baited breath for the 410 cab and the big ol tube baby!

You are going to love the SB! It's has some of the best tone I've ever heard! I'm rocking two 410neo cabs and it's punchy for sure! SB and 410neo is a great combination! I've heard the 115neo is killer as well, I'm tempted to try one in the future! Anyways...glad you like the 500 and congratulations on getting the SB! As many have said...the 500 is a great sounding hybrid...but does not hold a stick to the 300 all tube SB, pure tone bliss!

Yeah man.... I have my Berg NV610T for the big stuff and will prob use the Neo 410 for most gigging situations.

I just found the Rumble Fender RUMBLE 700W 2x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet at 39 lbs. That might work for me. I still think I'd prefer a 210 (or 212) cab regardless. I ask this pairing question every couple years and always get responses discouraging me against a 410+115. I already own three other (Bag End and EV) 15" cabs that are too heavy and have never paired them with the neo 410. I would love a light fender 210 that I could use for practice/small jams and add to the 410 when needed.

YMMV, but here's the last response on the topic (from dude) when I posted to the Fender manufacturer forum last time.

There is a phase anomaly bugaboo with mixed drivers. The thing is that four tens move soooooo much more air than a single fifteen that after ten feet or so you can't distinguish the 15" woofer at all. The 10's hold court and swing the gavel.

Not that I have money to burn, but I aloso have an 8 ohm GK neo 210 cab now that I may replace with a Bergantino HDN210 or HG310. I'd just like to keep the Fender look and form factor. I can always add Fender grill cloth

Regardless of the general belief here or anything else. The one time that I had a 410/115 set up I found that EQing for a difficult room was always so much harder as the cabs reacted so differently to EQ changes. The arguments about the 15 getting so much more wattage are valid also. IMHO YMMV etc.

For me, if you are pairing 10s and 15s, it would be better to have a 4 ohm 210 & a 8 ohm 115. But after having dual 210s and now dual NV115s I far prefer these options.

I would think a 4 ohm 410 and 8 ohm 115 would be optimal if going that route. 210s & 115s move more similar amounts of air than a 410 v 115.
But I agree. ...I've never had great results using a 410 & 115 together. Matching cabs always seem to work superbly together.
Not that I would, but if I were gonna use a 410 / 115 combo. ..and both were same impedance (both 8 or both 4 ohm ) I'd put the 115 on top so I could hear any speaker stressing going on. As...no matter what the specs say- the 410 will move far more air than the single 15. So yr far more able to hear that 115 complaining of its up nearer yr ears.
My advice- get matching -Identical- cabs. It ALWAYS works. Mis-matched cabs- crap shoot!

Smashing is right. I've got 2 gigs NYE. One during the arvo & the other 9pm-12am. And. ... surprise surprise. .. I wanna take the SB300 to both. Day one is a festival. ..supplied backline etc. ..last year was SVT4PRO &SVT810AV all good. ..but definitely NO Super Bassman. So I think I'll smuggle my SB into it and sit it ON TOP OF the 4PRO (if that's what's there- if it's a SVT-VR. ..then I'll happily use that.
Night NYE gig is a pub 45 mins outta town- country pub here :smug: And. ...if it's nice weather. ..we're outside on back of truck. ..poor weather. ...inside the pub.
So its the Super Bassman and both Bassman Pro Neo 115 cabs. ...both for outside. ...one for inside. LOVE that the SB does 8 ohm nicely.
Enjoy your new years fellow Super Bassman owners, & have a great 2017...let's hope it's better than this year's been and that the great orange combover doesn't help blow up the world on us. :woot:

I just found out it WILL BE a SVT810AV with a 4PRO again at the festival. Normally. .....I'd just use it. But. ..this time I'M TAKING the SUPER BASSMAN!
I'll report on how I go.
The sound guy might Sh!t it and say I can't use it. ...but. ..here's hoping.
