The Fender Super Bassman 300 thread

My Neo 410 is to be delivered tomorrow. Just got an Aguilar DB 210 but I think it's heavier then the neo 410.
Gotta love it. You'll find it very versatile also. When you are done shaking the neighbors windows, if you got the bucks, try the Neo 115 after putting tapewound flats on your P bass. As about as cool and mellow as you can get without an upright or Kalifornia brownies.

HNY SB300 users! My SB300/410 Neo will be getting a run NYE. Probably with my SR5 and Reggie Hamilton CS PJ5. Should be rehearsing! I've still got songs too learn!
That should sound awesome RS! EBMM Stingrays sound superb thru the SB300....& The RH PJ5 well. .. (as Monty Python put it so well) SAY NO MORE! !!!!!!!!!!! Nudge nudge wink wink.
I hope your NYE is all you hope it to be.

Was gonna start a new thread with these pics but felt they were more appropriate and would be more appreciated here. Bassman cab came today. Here is my current Bassman series lineup.

Small NYE gig tonight.
But. ...nice to have the boom there if I need it.

Dearly wanted to use the Super Bassman. ...but. ..nup.
All good. Just not AS good:woot:
Rod have you used the SBM on an Ampeg fridge before? From memory they don't sit too solidly on there as the head is wider than the cab.

It's more an issue with the depth of the Ampeg 810 (front to back). Because the top rear edge is "cutoff'', the SBM was hanging a little over the edge - I felt like it wouldn't take a lot for it to be knocked off if someone bumped it. But, in the end there wasn't a problem.

Here's a bad pic showing what I mean.

Chilling at home (if that's possible when it's 40degC outside) and decided to set my dual NV115s up with the Super Bassman.

Sounded great! Overdrive channel is super creamy!

Great looking rig, I bet it sounds killer! The SB seems to pair well with any cabinet/ cabinets you set it on.

I'll trade ya...it's a warm 6 degrees F here...the SB tubes keep ya warm if you sit/ stand real close : )

Yeah. ..Adelaide gets HOT and STAYS hot often! Gets all the hot winds of the desert. Yuk! Too much 4 me. We might get a day of that temp but I've not heard of it lasting longer than a couple of days before it cools. .You guys get it sitting up there for a week if not more sometimes. Phew!
But. ... the SB thru the NV215 sounds amazing. ...those mid drivers really bring out its crunch...if ya dial it to.
