I think what the person meant by having them made in the US, was that in the US they're not allowed to use real solder. So, if the production was moved to Detroit, then they wouldn't be using real solder and you'd need to get it re-soldered aftermarket.

My comment in response was why would I want to buy an amp that needed to be re-soldered. Hence, my meaning was that they're just fine being produced where they are being produced now.

I'm no expert in this area but I did drive by a Holiday Inn Express . . . anyway, I believe the EU made it illegal to use lead solder. I believe it can still be used in the US for certain applications (not plumbing).

What you've been using? I don't know. It could be tin, silver, lead, etc.

My Radio Shack solder purchased in Calif within the last year or so, where most everything is banned first by the way, says "contains lead". Lead was banned from copper pipe solder for plumbing here years ago.
Did you know it's called plumbing cause the latin word for lead is plumbum or close. Too lazy to go to Wikipedia but the Romans had lots of lead poisoning issues, from lead water pipes, but moreso from drinking acidic wine out of lead goblets. There were still lead water supply pipes in old east coast cities in recent years.

Jazz/Blues gig tonight at a inner suburban Hall. Only about 60 or so ppl & had to be pretty quiet for 1st set:thumbdown: but 2nd & 3rd sets we were able to get a decent mix with the Un amplified drums going.
I used Fender 62 AVRI with Labella tapes-Fender Super Bassman -3015 loaded AMPEG PF115HE 1x15"
2nd & 3rd set the amp sounded sweet! :cool: (1st set was cool too, but so quiet not really worth worrying about) Had it just in the sweet spot: dig in for some fur, hang back for clean n clear.
Love this beast!

Absolutely loving mine into the Bergantino NV 215, totally different to the Fender neo 610 which does have the bling factor and still sounds great but different. I contacted George at Bass Gear Direct to get one of the new Bergantino NV 115s this week but they have sold out and it looks like I will have to wait till October for the next delivery :).
I did compare the Fender neo 610 to the Bergantino NV610 side by side with the SB300 when I had both. I ended up selling the Berg 610 as I could eq the Fender to get the Berg sound plus it was more extended at both frequency extremes (as you would expect).
