You could always pick up a Schecter Model-T Bass, and start modding from there. They usually run $300-350 used.

Sorry for the lack of new renders, I had to reformat my computer (I still have all the stuff though) and had midterms, and now I'm on spring break away from my desktop. But hopefully I can sell my Highway One Jazz and get enough money to start building these.
