Seriously, though, that "partially lined" neck is the cat's pajamas. I've never seen that before, and it's awesome.
I do have some other questions. The bridge configuration is much like you would find on an acoustic instrument. How easy/difficult is the set-up for that fine bass? Also, can you give inquiring minds (like me) some stats, like materials, weight, electronics, build time, and...dare I ask...cost?
Anyway, that is one brilliant looking axe. My wife would even say so, and she doesn't like basses at all!!!

Wow again! That's a beautiful design, modern and traditional in one. The tail end and string ancor are particularly tidy. When's the next flight to Chile from UK?

Wow... I'm amazed on how do you get many things right about this bass...
I'll try to take more pictures of the neck to show how it's lined with a better light. The design of the fretboard is mine (until somebody says I'm wrong that is, because I don't know if my idea is original or if I saw it browsing somewhere and it got saved in my subconscious self). I have to credit part of the idea to a discussion thread here in TB about lined or unlined fingerboards.
Alfonso Iturra took my idea and with his experience and knowledge make it better suggesting something here and there, and then executed it brilliantly.
The bridge is another of Alfonso's ideas and his is the design. As you correctly noted, the whole objective is to give the bass a more "natural" and "acoustic" sound. Pretty much like a double bass. That's the reason why this bass is passive and also built set-neck.
If you look closely, you'll notice 2 Allen bolts that are there to rise and lower the bridge, so it's pretty easy to set it up. Not that I've done that since the bass came set up by Alfonso himself.
I'm not allowed to give you any pricing information, but I think that Brian of Low End have the right to distribute Iturra basses in USA.
I'll post the specs later... Now I'm going to lunch...

Well, I don't know if English is mandatory or not, but I'll keep writing in that language just to be inclusive with all those fellow bassists that get to this site.
And not... "uncompleted lining" are not meant to save some bucks... (I guess that pepelaici said that as a joke, anyway). Fact of the mater is that any potential save in materials is nullified with the increase in working hours to build that design.
