Do you just see a mountain? Actually there's a bear in it. Because Toblerone originated in Bern "The City Of Bears".

What do you see as a hidden symbol?

I see a scorpion with a stinger as i look at the "K" part.

Looking the other way it could be a sperm or killer whale flying through an old CRT screen.

Or it could be a "Y" on it's side?

Has GK ever offered an explanation?

If it is indeed representative of anything, other than a nice lettermark, it would be some inside engineering thing that's way above all of our heads.

As someone who has been the designer, presenter, and strategist in rebrands and new brands for 12 years... All three in some cases... I'm very good at weaving the hidden symbolism and representation web that sells the design to a client, and overthinking it when in the end, it's really just a cool way to show an acronym.

The only thing I can see here is a bomb.
