I also thought about the PF as the REDDI is kind of a B-15 kind of sound. It's just not as portable as one of Jeff's heads. I just really like Jeff's stuff and have for a long time. I'll keep my eyes open for a Streamliner, or maybe this fall Jeff will have something new.

A Genzler preamp would be nice! I still rock my Shuttle 6.0 as my main amp for non-IEM gigs. It's also saved me at a gig or two with particularly horrendous acoustics... Floor monitor gig where the sound guy pulls out a tiny little "bass amp" for me and the drummer to "share." I limped through the first set, and then grabbed my Shuttle to use as a personal IEM. BOOM.

That's been on my radar for a long time. My favourite power amp module is the Hypex. So powerful and clear. I A/B'd the Hypex that was in my old Monique700 and the Ice that's in my Mesa D series at the time, and there was no comparison.

When I was buying, the Khan wasn't in this form. If it were, I may have considered it. I don't use my amp (Genzler that sounds fantastic) that much. Maybe 5-6 times a year. It might be nice if I could warm it up by putting a tube DI in front of it. But at this time (and it could change) it's not worth redoing my stuff. I play 9 of 10 gigs DI/IEM and the REDDI is just a great sound in my - and my band mates - ears. I'm guessing the Khan or any of them really, would be as well. Nice to have options.

I'm waiting for Jeff to come out with an updated version of the old Genz Benz Streamliner or something. Then maybe I can have a tube head that can work as a preamp and DI for supported gigs and as a nice tube combo amp for those gigs. That would be the ideal for me I think.

Today's Mesa, is worlds away from old Mesa, for better, or worse.
I'm not an owner of a REDDI so can't direct compare.

Oh and at one point I (cautiously / attentively) ran a 1200 watt amp into a 250 watt cab with no issues for several gigs.

The TT800 is very cool. Way more amp than I need. Kind of like Bergantino. That's one reason I went Genzler. Great amp, not a lot of "extras" and a great value.

With the Mesa, the 2 channel option is cool. Modern and classic in one head. Tube DI option. Lots of stuff I don't need at all, but that's with anything these days. I use half the stuff on my iPhone.
