The way that tube sticks up, I don’t think it’d work too well closing the lid on my Pedaltrain hard case....

So after chatting with @emjazz last night, the voodoo power supply has 1 ac power out and the wort is small.
I plan on using that for my other board that will be built around the Starlifter.
Yeah, it'll power it, but it's for 12v. The Starlifter does say 12v/15v so it'll work fine, as long as it gives 300ma (didn't check).

I just spoke to tech support for voodoo and they said it should work fine.
Here is a pic from my other board snd I plan on mounting this one the exact same way.
Nice! If I end up with the Starlifter, and if I get a pedalboard, I'll just mount a double plug under the board...one to power the Starlifter and one for my power supply. Easy fix.

Yep. Especially if it was a tube preamp with an on-board DI, HPF/LPF, Effects Loop, 1/4" Thru output (in addition to the XLR), all in a nice 125BB/1590BB size enclosure. If you want to also throw in a 3-band EQ, I wont argue.

Starlifter sounded amazing, but with my little 112 cab it didn't work out. The low end is set too high to fill it in the way that I like. If you have a bigger cab than the Starlifter is insanely wonderful. Far more dynamic than any others I've tried. Really does feel and sound like a great studio pre, and I'm sure it would excel at that as well. Keeping my Tone Hammer on for live preamp duties. The TH had me smiling all night (with the Edison pre running into it...that thing has turned out to be such a pleasant surprise. I never turn it off).

I had the pleasure of playing with the old band I used to travel and gig with for years last night using my new Roscoe SKB3005 and my Starlifter Preamp. They still had the Ampeg SVT stack with 410 Ampeg Heritage cabinet. After trying it I said let's use my pedalboard only. The drummer and soundman raved about the tone and said that is the best bass tone they have ever heard. This Starlifter is hard to beat in a FOH and IEM setup.

40Hz? Hope that’s a wide Q or a HPF could roll it right off. Still seems like a deep range for most speakers to reproduce too.
So, it is an OBP-1 in a box? Except, the OBP-1 is even better at saving pedalboard real estate?
That's the same Bass/Treble EQ points as the Tone Hammer.
Sure, if you have an OBP-1 installed in your bass.
Just like the Starlifter is a Nordstrand preamp in a box (albeit with a couple extra features).
So it is. And the OBP as also noted. Looks like they know what they like and what works.
