Trilobite looks nice but it's huge. Anxious to see what you think of it.

It really isn't as big as it looks. The Minnow is just as long as the Trilobyte. It also has dual channels and a whole lot of flexibility with effects loops and other inputs.

The Trilobite looks awesome! Instead of it being just a preamp, it's a hub for your board with two FX loops and the ability to have dual inputs, or dual EQ/levels. That's awesome!

Interesting choice to boost 30-40 Hz range. He clearly states it's for pushing subs at venues. I wonder how this will translate to amps. The new Aguilar DB925 has bass at 40 Hz as well. I wonder how this works for the HPF users on TB.

Imo 40hz bass control combined with hpf is the best. You get Super punchy lows because it creates a narrow peak just above the frequency you have your hpf set. Takes away muddiness too.

Yes, I played through it at NAMM. I was impressed. Of course NAMM is crazy loud all the time so I'd want to test it more in a quiet setting and with good cans. There is no release date yet but is expected sometime before Q4 of 2020.

Sure, after I've had a chance to play with it more. I spent an hour with it last night and that's not enough. There is a ton of interaction with all of the dials.

I'd like to know how this is as well. Its basically out of the Little Mark Vintage? Blending both SS and valve drives sounds cool, coax & optical out as well lol!

Haven't heard anyone mention it, but wondering if someone has tried Fender's tube preamp / distortion pedal Invalid Link Removed
Wondering if it mimics a Fender preamp channel and preserves low end (i.e. like an Alembic F2B)? Or if it's guitar specific.

I haven't tried it because I'm pretty set for the few times I use any sort of dirt. I would love to try the Downtown Express. It's designed by Aguilar, so I know it will be good. Just how good is the question.

I didn't know the Downtown was designed by Aguilar; I agree that would be worth trying. The tube distortion is designed by Egnater so probably sounds great on guitar. Unfortunately we've probably all got a few guitar pedals that suck on bass... thus my hesitation. It runs on 9V so I could use my trusty OneSpot...
