The humbug thread

Well I'm sorry but that sucks. Getting screwed out of another day to look forward to in the year :) Do you celebrate your birthday on the same day with a cake and everything or do you get shafted? :)

i was expecting a big disappointment for christmas...the past few weeks I've been dreading it.

But after getting for the most part most of what I wanted and then having a good outing with my extended family, I can't help but feel happy.

I also spent the little money I did have on some gift cards for my parents, and they were very appreciative, which made me :) x 1000

Not to sound too "reason for the season"-ish, but I'm just happy I got to be with my family this year. It's not that we haven't been together in previous years or won't be together in the future, but my parents almost weren't going to be here.

I don't care about the presents. It hasn't really "felt" like Christmas, but you have to stop and think about what the whole purpose of Christmas is before it will hit you.

Hope ya'll had a Merry, Blessed Christmas:)

Things pretty much turned up for me when I got to Reedley on Sunday. Just seeing my grandparents (mom's parents) and talking with them brightened my spirit. Then at my cousin's house on xmas day was loads of fun! Aunt Hazel and Uncle Ronnie came down and I haven't seen them in ages! Then my cousin and I played some bass and me and him and my bro played some video games. The worst part of it all was the ride home...when I had 20 pounds of gifts on top of me the whole time.

Hey, my house didn't catch on fire this Christmas day -- it had to be better. Although, we spent 7 hours last night in the E-room with my 80 year old mother, who walked out my front door yesterday afternoon, missed a step and planted her face into a rock in my little mulch garden. Three stiches and a sprained ankle.

Oh, well, we had the family over and it was a great day till then.

Well my folks woke me up this morning and told me that my grandfather was taken to the hospital. He was having a hard time breathing and I think they mentioned something about his heart.

I hope he's going to be ok. Its been a few hours and I still haven't heard anything. As much as I don't want to lose him, I also don't want Christmas to be associated with anything tragic.
