Here's my Soundgear but I don't know exactly what model it is. Built in '92 in Japan, but doesn't seem to match any of the photos in Ibby's catalogs.

I have a mid 80's RB999 "bean bass" in ivory white metallic that sounds huge for such a small basswood body bass.
I also ordered one of the new BTB1305 Prestige basses just yesterday.
I like the vibe of the older Ibanez basses like the Musician and the P-bass clones and variations. I had a MIK TRB200 for a while too, and that thing could really nail the ash-body Precision bass vibe.

Hopefully you paid a '480' price for it, too!
Much respect for that tatoo. Wow.Hey guys,
Here's a picture of my last tattoo, my SRX505!
Much respect for that tatoo. Wow.
I came here to post one of *my* favorite basses...in a youtube video....
"Pass the Musician"
If only I could play through cabs like that!!! Actually, I bought my '81 Roadster in London. Maybe it had some dub/reggae lineage too.

1986 Ibanez Roadstar II w/ OHSC, price: $240.
THats a cool ass bass. How many knobs was on that thing?
I think they have 5 and a switch or two, if it's like my same vintage active roadster. My Roadster has vol/blend, a passive/active switch, a three way pup sleector, and active boosts and cuts. I'm forgetting if they're two or three band...
The musician is basically a neck thru version of what I have... only not P/J. Boy do I want one!

Hi.
Some thing like this

It's pup seleect, volume, ton, bost, active on/off
next row bas, mid, treb bost or cut

THats an interesting layout for the controls. I am digging the radiused PUPs
This is my '79 Musician.

You can see the difference in the control layout. Mine also has 22 frets, not 24.
I'm beginning to think that Ibanez didn't make the Musician exactly the same for any two years - does anyone know for sure?
Mike
That top is beautiful.
