The Ibanez Club (Part 2)

I love seeing all the old Ibanez basses here. Remember playing and owning quite a few Ibanez basses and yes "guitars" in the past. Great playing and affordable. Although, I have been trying to sell my SR1306 for several weeks now and have had interested buyers, but no takers. One guy kept on emailing me about the bass asking all kinds of questions and really wanted it. His highest bid was $28, after auction ended emailed again to ask if I will be listing it again. Are you kidding me. What is the deal. It is like Ibanez has become a dirty word or something, and some people think that you apparently should sell them a bass for nothing. Has anybody else had this problem with buyers?
I have also not seen any SR1306 on this thread.

My SR800. Bought it in early '02. So guessing it's a '01 or '02 model.

Sorry about the bad photo. Haven't got anything else at the moment.

And don't worry about the little practice amp in the background, my Ashdown head and cab are on their way!

well I finally paid off my K5 (its the later model in the black)... im blown away, I thought my rbx375 was powerful... this thing punches like no tomorrow! havent fiddled with it much yet left all the preamp settings as stock but a bit of slapping and playing some hard rock songs I know and its just awesome!!!

unfortunately my camera is dead so I have no way of getting pics but mmm I am one happy new owner i can tell you!

taken me a bit to adjust to it though... string spacing and string height took a while not to mention its very sensitive with the strings ringing,... but once I over came that it was so easy to play!

I'm new here... count me in.

1988 Ibanez Soundgear SR1000E (jewel red/ebony)
1993 Ibanez Soundgear SR885 (black/rosewood)
1989 Ibanez Soundgear SR1000E (black/ebony)
1995 Ibanez Iceman ICM300 (white/rosewood)
2005? Ibanez Soundgear defretted SR190 (black/rosewood).

Count me in!

Here's a picture of my two basses.

On the left, my first bass and on the right, my new baby the SRX505 (I just love it).:D

I also own an Ibanez SW65 practice combo amp.

Can I post? Just bought this locally, first owner bought in Misawa Japan while in the military in 1993. Came in the factory shipping box and card showing model number.

Its a SR890 GFS VS Flamed Maple Purple burst, gold hardware, 1st gen active pickups/ EQ. Some cracking on the clear coat on the body though.... few tiny nicks. A Japan only finish???

OK, Ibby owners-question for you.
Does anyone have or has anyone SEEN an early 80's Musician in charcoal grey metallic?
This was the model where the neck pickup looked like a large soapbar but the polepieces were staggered like a p-pickup and the bridge pickup resembled a wider J. It had 6 knobs-3 larger ones for the passive controls and 3 smaller ones for the 3 band active EQ.
When I see these anywhere, its usually the older model Sting made famous and I NEVER see one in any other finish than the dark stain with the maple neck.
