I love the use of the clear pickguard on such a beautiful piece of wood

It's an ATK500KA, the KA standing for Alder Koa, according to the '96 catalog.

I used to be a nutty Ibanez collector.

Had

P copy
J copy
Musician
couple of roadstars
rb800
sr800
custom sr800 fretless
prestige 5 string soundgear
rd707

The only one I have left now is a Japanese made btb 5 string.

Not sure if there was a model number.

It was a three tone sunburst with a tort pickguard. Looked exactly like a Fender jazz. It had an Ibanez logo on the headstock. I think it was a late 70's model.

well i was never particularly an ibanez fan as i tend to dig the oldschool sound. then i found this baby.
I switched out the knobs, from black to gold, and am ordering a darkstar pickup for it just as soon as i accumulate the proper funding. I'm really jazzed about this bass:)

Ibanez GSR200 with Chromes. Love it, but really want a 5er! :bassist:

I also play for P&W band at church. My main bass is, from what I gather, pretty rare - a 70's Ibanez Artist bass. Body and abalone Head stock decoration are like the Ibanez double cutaway Artist guitar. The logo is in the 70's Ibanez script. Bound neck is 34" and has black star and diamond on silveris faux pearl block markers. There is a preamp boost powered by a 9 V battery. 2 V, 2 T controls.

Since this was right after the lawsuit settlement w/Norlin, the pickups are from their EB-3 clone - a fat sidewinder at the fingerboard and a small single coil sounding mini humbucker type at the bridge. The bridge assembly itself is from the Ric 4001 clone, including the foam dampers.

I also have been using a Blue GSR200 at evening services for another church that has asked me to help out on occasion. Great bang for the buck bass. I'm P&W Bassist #92.
