Are the sr600's as prone to finish chipping as the sr500 or is it more durable?

I'm not entirely sure. I believe so, but if you play it enough most likely it will where down. i have a Schecter Damien 4 that wore down where my forearm rubbed against when i used a pick.

If you beat any bass you can RW it easy enough.

I picked up a 1990 Ibanez EX Series off Craigslist today for $60 to be used as a beater. Almost done cleaning it up. Been playing it more than cleaning... I'm really liking the sound of it. In the spirit of no pic, no bass, here we go:

Anyone know much about the "TR" series? I've seen a lot of TR's coming up on ebay lately, both intact and in parts. It looks like there were a couple cheapo models and one or two higher end, between pickups, hardware, and aesthetics.

my buddy had a TR PJ 4 banger back in 92. nice instrument. wasnt the sdgr, but wasnt the cheapest model either. if i remember, it was korean and it was priced in the CT lines price range.

Here's my '89 SR2000EDB, MIJ, neck thru, 18v EMGs, HB bridge....I've had some nice Ibanezes, including a couple SR3000 Prestiges and a killer '90 SR1000, but none hold a candle to this one!

Any of you guys know anything about these or own one?

That's the WHOLE SN?

Seems to me that MY SRs have a letter in front of the number sequence.

Letter = factory
First two numbers = year
Second two numbers = month
Last numbers = build number
