Here's my new Ibanez bass and it is my second one. It is an SRX2EX2.

I got it set up at Bass Emporium in Austin and it sounds awesome! Do I get a second number? :hyper:

Sweet story and awesome bass (man, I wish my pups still looked that purty), but your pic just made me remember, anyone know where I could pick up 3 of these knobs for my Destroyer II? The ones that came on the bass when I got it are all cracked on the inside, and when I take them off, I always have to be sure to keep track of where the little bits go in order to get them back on, which is pretty annoying.

Hey SHREDDERMAXIMUS, great news!

I found a vendor that a.o. has the knobs you're looking for!
Repro Guitar Parts

Go for it!

Grtz, Hnz (Hans)

Yeah.. It's kinda funny, it's not an "expensive" bass, it was $350 and I added the extended warranty which in total at the time was about $460 including tax. I had it in lay away for 5 months since my finances are not that great. I was paying from 10 to 30 bucks each payday and they let me do it since I was paying for it.

I had it down to $130 when I decided to pay that amount. I went there and they told me that it went on clearance that same week. All I had to pay was $55. :)

This would be a bass I'll never get rid of, since I worked hard to get it :)

I love the tone. This thing has a nasty growl which I find amazing! I love it more than my SR300M.

It's funny that the same day I bought this they had one in red. It looked very nice, but I rather this one in white.

It's got quite a growl! :D Mine is the brother, known as SRX2EX1.

Got my ATK today. Very nice. Came in a pretty decent case.
One large problem with the case...big "Made in China" stamped tag on the case. The tag is maybe an 2" x 3". It could be read from 20 feet. That's gotta go. Still have the hardshell for my ex-SR05...
I thought ATK1200's were made in Japan? Apparently not..or I got a knockoff? The bass looks good. Haven't had time to play it. The bass came tuned up! How's that for fresh?
So far the only changes I'm considering is the strings. I usually play with flatwound strings and it came with roundwounds...they are noisy to me?

The case was made in China, and the bass in Japan. Congrats!

What model is it?

Sr500, I'm liven in Mexico for 6 months and instead of bringing my basses down I figured I'd buy one here, well I went through like four shops before the one I found her at, played probably four basses at least lol, each shop sold the classic fenders, etc and this last one was the only shop carrying ibanez so I figured I'd give one a shot, the minute I plugged it in and started playing I knew that it was te bass for me the neck was absolutely perfect the weight was nice and damn did she sing through the svt they let me use as
A trial amp, action was set perfect for me and my hands seemed to glide across the fingerboard, and to top it off somehow the little price tag hanging off the bottom got into my shorts pocket, which was velcroed closed so I figured it was a sign from The bass gods that she had to be mine, and at 450 I couldn't argue
