So I actually played that Ibanez you first posted and I think it sucks balls. Thats all I have to say. I'm not trashing Ibanez because I have one and it's great. I just don't like the play of that one.

Are you sure it wasn't just poorly setup? I can't imagine that it would be the basses fault. The tone is good, fairly versatile, the feel of the neck, as I'm told by many, is very good. What was the problem exactly? You can't just say something as fact without backing it up AT ALL.

Just put this one on layaway:scowl: This is not mine though, mine is kinda strange by way of the fretboard, it says rosewood as this one obviously is, but mine is really swirly and much lighter in color. Sounds simply phenomenal, so much versatility, and I absolutely love the peizo's and I have always longed for those monorail bridges. This is like an all in one dream package for me. The fretboard is crazy looking though, I will post pics as soon as I pay it off and bring my baby home. Years ago when I first saw thes I was like EWWWW, that body is fugly. The EDC has always been my dream bass (under $2500), but now, I can't say I love the body shape, but it is straight up the most comfortable I have played as well as one of the best sounding I have heard, if not THE best. LONG LIVE IBANEZ. And plleeeeaaaasssseeee bring back luthite.:)

Link Removed my ibanez gsr 190 i believe. i'm getting a new BTB555 that i CAN"T wait to get, like..wow. my local guitar store has it ordered and i can't wait. i'm getting the natural finish so you can really appreciate the maple top and i just can't wait.

I really like your GSR 190 but then I am partial to red guitars.

Thank you for the link to the photo on the Ibanez site. Last time I looked, it wasn't there. Here is my BTB555MPNTF.

This one was specially made by Ibanez for Jett Beres of Sister Hazel. The color is too reddish brownish in the photo. It is actually about the same color as the one on the Ibanez site which you will be getting except it has flame maple. It is almost identical to my Ibanez BTB1000 which I have posted pictures of already. The three main differences being that it (the 555) is a five string, is fretless and it has a five piece neck.

Thank you, Marcus. I really like it too. :) I have one other BTB I still haven't posted. It is a 405QMTP, quilt maple with transparent purple. I'll have to get a picture taken of it as well as a couple of Ergodynes too. I guess you can tell I really like Ibanez. :)

Fathand, we will be looking forward to seeing your BTB!

Well... it may have been the setup. But it didn't really sound good to me and maybe it's the bass maybe not your bass but the bass i played sounded pretty bad. When I first saw it I was in wow this looks like a great bass because it was so HOT. I played it for about a half an hour and didn't like it. Thats just an opinion. Just like your opinion is that it's good. So just because my opinion is the opposite of yours is no reason that my opinion isn't valid. Another fact it hasn't sold yet still and its been there a long time. I don't beleive I need facts for an opinion because I've played it.

Oh and I do infact own an Ibanez bass and is my primary. I did not trash Ibanez I just trashed that bass. Maybe if I played a different one it might sound different because the one I played was ****.

have any of you guys ever played the Ibanez RB650?

My local Sam Ash has a used one with a maple board in black for $190.00 out the door with a case IIRC and it played/sounded PHENOMENAL. It's Japanese made and from the eighties, so the quality is really impressive.

The action was low, there was absolutely no buzz, and it nailed the respective classic Precision and Jazz tones when either pickup was favored. I loved it! It's a shame my wallet is a little on the light side right now, or else I would've came home with it.

If any of you guys are owners, please chime in, it was such a killer bass.
