I've got a thing for Ibanez, if you can't tell;)

The SR500 is my main gigging bass, it's also the "beater" of the family... it just doesn't get any better for live shows though. Great sound, light weight, and I really don't care if beer gets spilt on it!

was just wondering, how is the quality of the SR300 FM? i really like the look of it in the red transparent finish but i have no idea how good the quality is on this thing. will it be good for an intermediate player in a band, and would it be good for a metal/hardrock sound?

heres the bass im talking about:

i wish so badly my GSR200 was that color.

I can not find this bass anywheres here in New Orleans. I was lucky to see it hiding within a bunch of new guitars andbasses at the local C&M in Kenner........I actually had a silver Ibby in my hands ( Possibly GSR190) and I looked over the store and saw this bright Orange shinin and I walked over and my jaw dropped!... I told my Ol' lady to go put that other Ibby back on the rack as I was getting this one..... $225 and just came in the store the day before!

It plays flawlessly and the action is perfect to my likking.. Not gapping hi and not buzzing low.....Still using the same 9 volt pick-up battery that came with it and I have over a month and a half use on it........

The strings could prolly be changed from what I'm told but the stock ones are serving the trick good for now till I can afford some decent strings......

I could have gotten the GSR200 in the trendy Jewel blue but I know too many peeps with that one.....And this is my first bass and I will never get rid of it if i can help it! But I will sooner or later buy a GSR200 or 300 in Jewel Blue one day.....

Im Ibanez and LTD lover all the way :D

That's awesome. As you can see in my previous post, my 200 is lame red. The Ergodyne makes up for it, though.

My SR300DX and RD900NT. Just picked up the RD tonight used for $300 with gig bag. Can't even begin to find any wear on it at all. Fret board is still nice and shiny at some frets and others I don't think the strings ever been fretted there.

Will be having the nut replaced on the sr then devling into some custom electronics. Amazed by how she sounds with whats in it now. Can't wait to make her really shine.

p.s. pardon the typical teenager posters in the back. Lemme know if I need to take down pics.

I guess I can be apart of this club now... my new to me ibanez sr400 fretless

Anybody have a certain kind of strings that they like with this bass?

I'm still getting adjusted to fretless, but I'm lovin' it so far :bassist:

I have exactly the same bass and love it - see pics in previous posts.

This one looks a bit strange though - I don't think the bridge is original. This almost looks aluminium or something, or maybe it's been chromed or something.

Or maybe it's cos mine is worn and the brass underneath has tarnished a little in spots...

Rest of it looks lovely though.
