This is my first decent bass, i bought it 2 years and i still own it. It is all black and has a super fast neck, the electronics are slightly modified. The the P-bass pickup is from my old crappy squire bass, its gives it a good amount of grit. Also inside the the compartment i put 2 additional caps and have that wired in parallel. Im not sure what the knob closest to the input jack does, that was the one that was modded and it seems to give it a much hotter signal.

ever hear of flying fingers?

when i first started my fingers where all over the place. i needed something to help control my fingers so i tried some skin tight gloves and they worked.

I've got an SR 506 de-fretted. No pics of it yet but if you can imagine the wide 6 string fretboard with no frets and the bart mk1 pre and pups. I got it from fellow TBer Biker4Him. Sounds awesome with the mk1's and elixrs.

Several weeks ago I picked up an Ibanez Artcore AFB200SB.

It's a shortscale true big-box hollowbody with f-holes, a stick bridge, hinged tailpiece, and 2 'buckers. A pic can be found on the Ibanez site if anyone cares to see what one looks like.

I've strung it with Labella flats, used it on several jobs and it's quickly become my first call bass.

SO glad I found this thread. You guys gave me some Ibanez props and convinced me not to trade away my 99 Verdine White Sig Bass. What an amazing ax this is. Thanks guys...and gals.

My highly modded SR406

mods done so far:
1. Ramp made out of ash
2. Took the preamp out HATE ACTIVE basses
3. Replaced preamp with new 250k pots, 3 way on/on/on switch, kill switch, and front mounted input jack
4. Playing the bejesus out of it
