I personally hated Ibanez in the past, but this of course was before I had ever even picked one up and had just heard things from friends. Well...they were wrong, My new Ibanez Kicks A**
Ditto!

It really sings through my Ampeg.
And ditto!

I just picked up this bass and it is the best bass for under $300 I have ever played. I bought it as a cheap backup for my EBMM Bongo and Fender Jazz basses and haven't played anything but the Ibanez all week since I got it. It is fun to play, has superfast action, is lightweight, has a great low B, etc.....

And as stated above, it sounds great through my Ampeg B2RE.:hyper: :bassist:

Nice Iby, What kind is it?

Ibanez basses sound amazing through an ampeg, especially when im using my eq ( same head as you ), Mine is 18v active and I thought ti sounded amazing through my old 100 watt Fender amp but when I got my Ampeg I was so blown away with the tone.

Im considering replacing the MK-1 Barts in it with a higher end Bart though, not sure if I want to yet because it sounds amazing as is.

I'll post pics once I get my camera back.

GSR205FM (I think FM=Flamed Maple).

I hate to harp on price but at $340CAD (about $285USD) it was a complete steal. And that was new!

Way cool bass!! I am really happy to see they are finally making basses with JJ pickups again:hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Very interesting, I'm sure I spotted one of those in the video for "Dancing on the ceiling" by Lionel Richie.

Thanks, I'll check Youtube.

EDIT: OK, I saw it!! I hope that wasn't my basses only 30 seconds of stardom :) I forgot Tommy Chong and Rodney were in that video, LOL!!

Thanks for the info Chris, I appreciate it.

BTW: Did/have you had any problems with the freatboard around the 6th fret on the low B?. A few days after I got my GSR, I had problems (major fret buzz) with the 6th freat on the low B. I`ve fixed it now (many adjustments on the neck, & bridge), but it was freagin annoying while it lasted.
