Here's my Ibanez's. SR800, SR500, & RD500
I've had the SR800 for 15 years and I use it as my practice bass so it takes the most punishment. It still plays and sounds great!!! The only thing I changed were the pickups. I put some EMG's in there.

Guys, it looks like its time for me to pass the torch on this club. Sadly, I am forced to sell my last Ibanez, my prized RKB900.

Dudes, you guys know if there's a bass in production that comes the closest to the tone of the BTB1000? The BTB555MP maybe?
Looking to nail that Mick Whitney (36 Crazyfists) tone.

the BTB1000 has different pickups then the BTB555 so its not going to sound the same..

Kinda like asking what drives like a ferrari a 84 volkswagon bug?

its just two different animals..

BUT

The BTB555 is a nice playing bass and its got a decent preamp and pickups.

OK I admit it, I just want a number to be in the club. I have no pics but my Ibanez is a 2006 SR 505 plain jane Mahogany body, 5 piece Mahogany/Wenge laminated neck and Bartolini active (9 volt) pups from Musician's Friend. Will that get me in?
I 've been off work for a couple of weeks due to back injury and started reading TB and it is now a full blown addiction. You people crack me up every day. It has really helped take the boredom out of daily routine of aerobics, stretching excercises, etc. Thanks all you TBers for the psychological support!

she is gorgeous man, make it a 5er and i would sell my soul to own her i love all of the high end ibanez, old or new, the natural woods and smoothness

Finally got my Artcore!
I couldn't be happier...tone tone tone.
Strung up some Chromes on it and sounds like a million bucks. Now I can get rid of or mod the hell out of my Squier.
