And then you go and make it worse with this, lol, JK, its cool, gives me time to save up and get a Xeno beforehand, im amassing my first pedalboard so im searching for a fuzz I like first which is why I havent ordered a xeno yet. just got a Pickle Pie B from classifieds so hopefully after that, Envelope, then Xeno.

Any volume pedal will work if you use an "insert cable":

You plug the stereo plug into the expression jack, ring to volume pedal's input, tip to volume pedal's output.

However, I personally find the range knob on the EP-2 or other dedicated expression pedals to be indispensable, and you won't have that available with the Visual Volume or most volume pedals, so that's a bit limiting IMO.

I posted this the other day in my Xerograph thread, but I want to reiterate how much more useful the sweep on the Xerograph is with a range knob. I was using a nice exp. pedal without a knob for my demos, and decided to buy a Moog EP-2 to give the knob a try (I just sold my Roland EV-5 with a range knob days before the Xerograph arrived :hmm:). It made such a difference that I've considered re-doing my demos.

I've also found the Xerograph works really well with different kinds of pedals. I've run several different fuzzes and filters in front of it, and it emphasizes different qualities in each of them

Will that only work with passive volume pedals though? Not sure if the Visual Volume is, what with all it's fancy lights and everything.

The Visual Volume has internal switches to make it passive for either or both channels, so in passive mode it would work. But that's a good thing to point out, because some volume pedals are active-only. So when I said any volume pedal would work, I was wrong. :D

Yup, got it yesterday. Due to work and near-hibernation, I still haven't plugged it in. I plan on giving it a run-through once the kids I nanny get picked up tonight. Is it the Bubble Chamber or the Tetravox that's supposed to have the LFO stuff for dubstep?
