Definitely!

When I initially told Kevin I was ordering, I asked if I could supply my own choice of tuners and he said absolutely, no prob. I ordered that set of Gotoh's from Stewart MacDonald (arrived in almost no time) before I shipped it all off to Kevin.

I'm really looking forward to this new addition.

I'll definitely do that, as well as post a clip or two.

Kevin is really great to work with, and you gotta love a luthier that:

  • Doesn't take himseolf too seriously
  • Is enviromentally friendly
  • Can make some HILARIOUS novelty instruments yet turn around and make some serious ones too for not a lot of cash.

Or, if you want something more appropriately scatological, go to a hardware store and pick up some sewage pipe. (Which is what many of us on the DB side use for bow cases anyway.)

Just arrived today!

First impressions so far, GRRRRROWWWLLLS like mad. Action is a little higher than a regular bass guitar but that's OK, it allows the strings to slap against the fretboard a bit more kind of like an upright. Sounds beautiful plugged in, nice round tone. Nice oil finish, not heavy at all, This is a keeper!

Only thing I need for it now is a metal pole, this plastic one flexes a bit much for my taste.
