The Krappy Bassists Klub

Just got my first In progress pic

I bought el nadador del's Krappy 2 months ago.
I retired a fretless Jazz, 2 Carvins and an Ibby Soundgear
I play exclusively a 2-string (EA) Krappy now. I am in love and haven't had so much fun playing bass in decades.
People ask me '*** are you playing and why?'. OMG. 2-strings simplifies everything for me. So organic and silly.
Number?

Anyone know what type of oil/finish he uses on these?
Thinking about having someone re-finish it although there is nothing really wrong with the stock finish.

Here's mine.
I really hated playing it strapped, and thought it was even worse just sitting on my knee, so I got rid of the strap buttons and attached part of a mic stand to the back as an end pin, and now it's my 2-string $100 EUB. I also changed the tuners for some i pulled off an old Mako bass i never play.
Despite the chunky neck, it's a lot of fun to play vertically (I have no other experience with uprights of any sort). I tuned it to BE, and play it with Chromes. I plan to make a little hardwood bridge for it on a CNC mill I have access to.

No finish on a basic Krappy. I got 5 or 6 I lose count, but I will periodically rub them down good with lemon oil. How do I know Sean H ?? I met him in med school.. I think we dropped out the same year. No I am just kidding. We have a mutual friend in Will Ullrich. Willie saw Sean's Krappy-bass post and name-dropped me in his comment, no doubt because I was the only other guy he knew with a Krappy 2-str. bass. That caused an alert to be sent to me, directing me to Sean's FB page and there you go. He is your banjo player ?

@JoePasko. Yes, Joe, Sean is our banjo/lead/mandolin/melodica/slide player =p. Thanks for the background. Small world!
Yup now we even get to have friends that we don't even know !
I have a Krappy banjo too ! I refurbished a 120-year old S.S. Stewart rim, and put on all new hardware.
The Krapmeister made the neck. (Three strings of course ..... 'cause everyone else wants 5, right ?)

I think the name of the club is "Krappy Bassist Klub" I am mostly Krappy. Not Krappy Bass Klub.

Why are you arguing ????

Look back through all 40 previous pages to determine whether we're talking about the bass guitars from a company called Krappy Guitars made by the Krappmeister, or whether we're discussing whether as players, we're Crappy.

You'll find that we're discussing instruments created by Krappy Guitars.

Now, back to the scheduled progamming...

No argument here just going by the title. OK I guess I don't qualify. Sorry if I misread the title. Maybe it should "Bassist with Krappy Basses."
