The Mac Daddy Genz Benz Thread

I use the Shuttle 9.0, it's an amazing amp, and I can't readily think of anything about it I don't like. It's tiny, it's really light, it has great tone control (I love the voicing buttons and, more so, the mid frequency control), and heaps of power. It's a great sounding amp, and I love the balance of it being a hi-fi amp but also having a tube preamp with gain control, so you can get partial tube saturation if you want. The Streamliner 900 looks amazing as well, especially for those looking for real, full tube sound, but I am very happy with the Shuttle and have no plans to change.

I'm running it through an Ashdown 810 and it sounds great, but that'll change when I move to Australia (looking to move to a 410 for convenience, eying up the GB Uber 410 quite a bit).

Will see what I can dig out when I get back to the shop. Out on a 9 stage/arena gig (adventure) this weekend. Gotta stay out in the real world to keep current.

Gas got me again. I bought a 3.0-8t about a month ago and ordered a Genz Benz amp case for it. I went to the store today to pick up the case and they had ordered the wrong size.:mad: They had one for the 3.0-10t. Instead of waiting a month for another case I traded my 3.0-8t in on the 10t. I got a really good deal since the store felt bad about the screw-up. I was real happy with the 8t the only downside was no kickstand on the bottom. By the way the case is really nice. Time to update my sig.

So I picked up a Genz Benz 212T over the 4th of July sale weekend. All I can say is I love this cab!:hyper: I'm using it with my Markbass II amp. This bottom sounds amazing and shakes the walls like no other cabs I have used before.

One of the things I really appreciate about the Genz Benz gear is the folks that stand behind it.

Jeff and the gang support their product and give straight talk answers when conversing about the products.

Unlike many out there that talk like a politician when someone asks a question.

There is nothing like having the assurance of knowing your backed up if you have a need and knowing you can count on that.

I especially like the concept of "no moving targets" when it comes down to what the specs are on a new product that Genz does.

I never understood how a company can announce a new product and change specs on it after the product has been released. That one has left me with a bad taste in the past and it is rather refreshing that the Genz Benz products are set in stone before they hit the streets.

People see my posts about the Gen Benz products and call it hyperbole/shilling etc... but I feel it warrants being said. I want others to know what a good reliable company they are and how they treat their customers.

And for what it's worth I have no affiliation with Genz Benz other than being one satisfied customer. :cool:


I play metal, that has got to be the ultimate Genz Rig.:bassist:

Current mini stack:
Shuttle 3.0-10T
Shuttle 110 Cab

I can't imagine using but GB. Sound, design, weight - or lack of, and customer service - not just for endorsers either. Even little guys like me who just needed a new handle.

Can't say enough good things.
