Hi,

You sound great and this is a lot of fun. How do keep a straight face? :D :roflmao:

Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

I'm not a natural. I have to work very hard, and concentrate in order to pull these off. A lot of people in my "regular" life are shocked when they see these, as I am a very easy-going person who laughs and smiles a lot. Not in these videos though! I was working on it some, but a lot of the songs I'm doing don't really cry out for laughing and smiling. Wait until you see my next one!

Loving you is wrong - such a wonderful bassline!
Based on this, I reckon you do indeed have soul!

Meaning no offence here, but I do find this better without watching the visual...
I feel it's too obvious you're checking lyrics or recording levels or, heck, I dunno, whether your pop tarts are done!
If only you'd worn a pair of raybans...

Please keep these coming, some great song selections, and performances.
This was actually a useful critique.

The song was bugging me, and I think I got a much better version:

You know, I'm open to criticism. Someone is taking the time to offer a "thumbs down" to every single song I post, only moments after I share them here. Why not offer valid critique that can help me improve? I started out as a fairly awful singer, became an OK/mediocre singer, and now I will come right out and say that I am a pretty good singer. Am I good in all ranges, genres and arrangements? Of course not, but I am getting better by leaps and bounds, and you can see it right here on this thread. I am about to turn 54 years old, and I'm one of the few people my age to actually be expanding my range instead of watching it shrink away.

I want to be better. Music is my therapy. I daresay I put a ton of effort into playing bass, playing keyboards, playing guitar, and not a single day goes by that I don't put in vocal practice. These videos are recorded with old, road-worn stage mics, an SLR camera, a green sheet hung in my porch, a tripod, and an endless supply of ingenuity by my own self. Let's see your work. The internet is filled with people who criticize others, but unless that criticism is constructive, it's a complete waste of time for those who post it, and also for those who read it.

Tell me what's so horrible. Give me something to work with. Because if you're trying to get under my skin, you might just a little, but all it will do is strengthen my resolve to get better, work harder, and keep on keeping on.

The only thing horrible on this thread is the occasional stupid comment, and yours most certainly is.

Are you the thumbs down guy on YouTube? Or does someone else want to own up? I don't think I nailed Me & Mrs. Jones, but neither did Buble, and he made a bunch of money off his take, which for my money is awful.

I did do a great job on If Loving You is Wrong, though. I'll stand by that, and I took Oddly's criticism and made it better. A number of people on this thread have posted useful and worthwhile comments. Try to keep up.
Lol, I was just having fun playing off the title of the thread. Thus the Beaver emote to show not serious. You are doing better than I could.
