So guess what? They slay live. Epic amazing awesomeness!!! From walking in with dueling banjos, to Buzz's dress, the two manic uncontrollable machines named Dale and Coady on the drum sets, to Jared's Conan the Destroyer outfit complete with cape, to all the new stuff that sounds so friking epic live, to the end drone and drum battle complete with Jared singing into his bass loud enough to clearly understand him, the night was the best stress relief and definitely one of the best shows I have ever been to.

I saw 'em last Saturday in Madison, and had much the same experience. Did they open with "Sacrifice?" That was both hilarious and face-meltingly epic.
 
I dont think I had heard the Melvins before the show that night and had no idea what was coming. In a small place like "DC Space" that had no real stage you felt like you were in the bands practice room which was incredible for their sound!
