I bought my bass from Mike's freind so I'm assuming he did the setup. It is also a 99. It is super low and I like my action low since I don't dig in hard. Mike is known for his setups so I'd save the money if I were you.

Mike just finished putting this together for me last week.

Specs:
P4 Swamp Ash Body
Jazz Neck w/ Rosewood fretboard
Hipshot D-Tuner
Jack in the body rather than the pickguard

I'm loving the tone and feel of this bass, worth every penny. Paul and Mike were amazing and the turn around on my order was ridiculously fast.

After a brief crisis of faith (or maybe it was gas), I didn't take the PJ for Friday's funk gig, but in a fit of remorse, took it to Saturday's jazz gig. Disclaimer - I am not a particularly good slap player. But here is the Lull PJ5 in context, with some knob twiddling mid song between P and J tones.



bass is loud in the mix (crazy rarity). And first gig with this ensemble. Yeah, it goes on and on...hey, whaddya want for free?

I have a pre-Plek MV4, and just got mine back from Pleking by Mike last week. Absolutely worth it. The original fretwork when it was new was great - this is better.

Logistics were ridiculous for me, being in Canada. Given that you're in Washington state, it would be a no-brainer for me. But, no need to hurry - it's not like there's a best before date on the Plek offer. Next time that your bass is due for a setup or fret dress, get it done.

I visited his shop last year, and got a tour by Mike, including seeing the aforementioned Plek machine. I wouldn't worry about him being less precise now - it's not in his nature.

Nice bass! I'm really curious to see how the necks feel on the Lull P-Basses. I've tried out a few of his M4V basses and liked the necks. Never played one of his 5 string basses and now I have a Lull P5 coming to me...my first P-Bass and my first Lull.

I've always preferred the thinner jazz necks but I'm really going to give the P-Bass neck a few weeks to get used to it and see how I like it.

just saying , I have not put my new M4V down sense I got it a month or so ago , I have done quite a bit of recording and rehearsing , gigs , man this bass just sounds great every time , the Lyndy , bart combo with the bass is the nicest cut thru tone I think I have ever heard , I have a few other very sought after high end basses that are real nice but this bass just kills , cant put it down , every one that hears it digs the tone , my favorite 4 string by far , the wood is ash/ maple , total quality , thanks to all you guys who helped with questions I had before taking the plunge .

I had a Lull PJ5.

Somebody on TB has it now (can't remember who).

I've never played any bass that sings like that Lull PJ5.

That's the number one bass I regret selling.

I sold it for a custom build I've been waiting 10 months for...
