Nice......I like the orange!
Very nice bass , love the color , unfortunately I may have to sell my MV4 , very similar to that one . 59 burst , I think I can mention that here , if not someone let me know , hate to do it but may have to. Best of lick with that Orange beauty !

NICE!!
Is the neck on a Lull PJ5 about the same size as a neck on their J5? I see that the nuts are both 1.75" on the website. Not sure if there's some feel difference or taper difference.
I like the feel of jazz neck over a wider P any day, but have been thinking of adding a P to the arsenal.

The 5 string J and P bass necks are the same.
there may be a difference on the bryan Beller (more asymetrical) but the PJ5 and M5V will have the same neck.
Hello all, My name is Dean. I live in Missouri and this is my first TB post & I guess you can add me to the Lull club. I just bought this beautiful baby from TBer was3funk. It should arrive sometime early next week. I have played bass & guitar for years & a good friend approached me to play bass in his pretty darn good rockin cover band. I hadn't been playing much at all. The problem was I was finishing a degree, coaching baseball, working, and short of money so I could only afford a $250 Ebay Schecter. They didn't like the sound of my old Peavey that I had sitting around. Well, I'm now out of school & working as a Nurse Practitioner and I am gonna reward myself. I hope you guys like it and I can't wait to get it in my hands.

I was following the sale thread on this bass. What a great looking bass. Coming from a schecter... You're gonna crap yourself. Be careful when you unpack it.
I'm still not sure I'm a JJ guy, but this is a damn nice instrument. Since I haven't put it up for sale yet, that says something (not that I have a hair trigger or anything 
). Have gigged it twice since picking it up. The wife said she actually preferred the tone of the orangsicle over my Fodera last night. High praise as she loves the YYD.
You should hear this through a Monique tube preamp - sounds just sick.

This one is a keeper for now. I've warmed to the JJ tone, especially through the Monique preamp. And it is fun to play and incredibly comfortable at sub 8 lbs. Truly one of those "4-set" basses. I swapped to lighter strings last night (40-100, what I run on my Fodera) but put the original D'Addarios back on (I think they are 45-105). This bass just sounds better with a bit beefier string.
Lose jam from today's trio hit. Not many people due to rain (outdoors) so somewhat of a stretch out rehearsal thing. Lull into Monique into power section of a Puma 500 into a single Baer ML112 cab. Some env, some octave, some dirt along the way. Also playing along with live looped lines so it was a bit ragged - that is always a challenge.

After the wierd looks and shock wore off, "where is that Duck sound coming from", they all said they really liked it in that tune. Its not something you want to overdo, but can make people sit up an listen when you put it out there.

That orange is beautiful. Very classic in an unconventional way.
I definitely know what you're talking about regarding the tone. After spending years with basses more on the boutique side, I was feeling it was time for something classic. So in early 2012, I picked up a basic Lull P4.
And I've been completely blown away. It's been the only bass I've gigged with in 2012. It's too easy. Plug it in + amp eq flat = great tone.
What worries me now is that I have a custom bass coming in late this year or early next. I'm sure it'll be the gig bass during the honeymoon phase but what about when that's over. Will it be relegated to spend it's nights home alone while the P4 brings home the bacon?
