I played a 5 string jazz from Lull for quite a while, at a shop. And I would call it medium slim. and not as heavily tapered at the edges, like an Ibanez or ESP are more tapered.
About 8 years ago my main bass moved from a 55-94 to a Lull PJ5 and I had no problem with the neck. I think you should try one first though.
I have both. A couple of 55-94s and 2 Lull PJ5s and a T5. Like what was said above. If you like Lakland necks, you will probably like the Lull neck. Pretty flat thickness-wise, but plenty of space to operate for us ham-fisted guys.

I'm not sure what you'd call the Lull neck.
I'm on my second (and permanent) M5V and the neck is absolutely perfect for my smallish hands, even with the 35" scale Totally perfect. As is the spacing, which I think is 18mm.

I got in touch with Spencer. We had a great email exchange and i plan to talk with him next week on the phone about finishing the project. with everything that this bass has been through it means so much more.

Just got my first Mike Lull bass! What a wonderful instrument. This is a P4 that I bought from bdgotoh. Even though its almost 10 years old, it's in impeccable shape, the sound is incredible and I love the neck. I thought it might take time to adjust to a new instrument, but it already feels like an old friend. This is the without doubt the nicest bass I've ever played. I can see why everyone raves about them. Mike must have been someone special to be able to craft such instruments. I wish I could have met him.

I've owned 3 Lulls and all of them instantly felt at home in my hands, even before I had put on my strings and set them up.
Lull for Life!....

I'm actually fine with it. My herd of Lull basses had gotten a little heavy on P4s so I decided to set a few free. I picked up a V4 and an M5 so all is well!
