Oh man. I used to 'Tetris' so much gear into my old cars. I wish I had the bed 25 years ago.
I was considering making my J5 passive. It's from 2005-2006. Do you guys think that a standard aftermarket electronics plate would fit and the screw holes would line up?
Call Lull and ask if they do passive electrics which would slot in.

I've been rolling off the highs with the Aguilar, but I'd prefer to have a tone knob. I don't really adjust the other bands, so I think passive would be a good option.

I've come to appreciate passive. If I didn't have a pedalboard, active would be more important, but with all my pedals, I set my base tone with those, then occasionally roll off the tone for some songs.
I also like VVT better than a blend knob. Neck full on, bridge to taste or completely off. Blend knobs seem to blend the bridge too quickly for me.
One more Lull for me. Absolutely fantastic!

Congrats! Been drooling over that one…curious, how did you arrive at spec'ing those pickup locations?
They are in Rickenbacker locations, taken from my old 1979 4001.

Thanks I'll look into that. It does have a side jack. I was just going to do a blank plate with no holes on the side. If I went the Trickfish route, maybe I should send it in to the shop to have it done right. It is 20 years old, so a checkup wouldn't hurt either.
