That's not a color I would've ever contemplated ordering...but I have to say, that bass is stunning! I REALLY like it!!
Concert sux!!! The sound is all mumbled you can't hear nothing but noise!!!

Ron Blair is the bass player for Petty. Since I was in a TP tribute band, I got to know quite a lot about his tone and playing style. A truly great and underappreciated pocket player. No flash, all substance.
The sound in Fenway park was terrible!!! You couldnt hear anything Petty was singing or saying....the bass was echoing back off the walls so bad it almost sounded like 3 bass players! and it all just mumbled together....it was a mess! I am sure it doesnt sound like that in a normal venue! Fenway park is terrible for concerts!
Quick question for you guys. Have any of you tried the Sadowsky extra long strings on a Lull? Do you know if the taper is long enough to string the B thru-body? Or would they have to be top loaded?

After 30mins of playing, it's like I own this bass forever! Great finish on the neck!

This one is just a plain ole P 4....with a jazz neck and a 18mm spacing bridge.
