If its glue I dont see how they can fix it...it would be under the finish.
I am not sure they spray the necks at Mikes shop....He has his bodies done by Pat Wilkins usually....although I heard he is trying out a few somewhere different lately.....I hope mine is being done by whoever painted the brandy wine one at rocket! Its so nicely metallic it really looks like metal!

It's not glue, it's finish. He just has to buff the board a little more.

Such solid instruments. I looked at mine tonight in rehearsal and thought "this is doing everything I want it to."


As far as the 34 vs 35 opinions.... I went with mike's original vision of a 5 and got a 35. (I also ordered mine about 3 days before he started his 34 5 strings. :) I love the tension on a 35 scale length and how you can "tweak" down ( or not) on it to manipulate the tone. I'm not talking about low action sloppy clank- fest bass tone where every note somebody plays is hitting metal against metal. I'm talking angle of fingers/placement/ amount of flesh tone and how to manipulate that. On a 35 you can have the action just slightly lower and I love how it really vibrates the wood. Also because of the insanely great PLEK job too. Of course this is really splitting hairs over an inch. It really doesn't matter. If you got it, you got it. Personal preference is king.

Feeler time. I'm probably going to be listing my P4 with jazz neck. I've said many times its my pride and joy vintage P, but I don't really play that music right now, and maybe not anytime soon.
If anyone's looking for a good one, and this is, send me a "convo".

My P4 that was supposed to be ready in October is done and shipping today!

I kinda wish I got a PJ with a big single now! gonna have to wait till I get my next one! I am thinking black n' maple for my next! but not sure yet......I havent even seen my green metallic color on my p4 yet! ha
