That one is Mike's Vision (ash/maple/SD pickups MLspecs/Bart pre) it has the 70's tone (even though its in 60's position) down to the T.

Somehow, I just stumbled upon this thread. I've been a Lull user for many years now. I've owned tons of basses, both modern and vintage, and Mike's are my favorite hands down.

#312: a black v4. Alder with Birdseye board, fralins, and an audere 2 band that I installed a while back. It's seen many, many gigs, and it's starting to look like Stevie Ray's no. 1. I leave pieces of nitro everywhere I go.

#2576: a custom order that I just got in a month ago. Inca silver v4. Ash with birdsey board and audere 2 band. Vibe is similar to a 74 jazz I used to have, but weighs almost half as much.

My vote is that Tony had the best hair at the GTG, as well as best sounding bass.

I'd like to also add that Mike is an incredibly nice, down to earth cat too. Ive talked to a decent number of luthiers in my time, and most of them tend to be wound a little tight, which I'm sure is a great attribute to have when it comes to the meticulous nature of the craft, but can be a bit weird when your dealing with them. Mike is as laid back as they come, and was an absolute joy to work with. He always took time out to answer any questions i had, and his enthusiasm for every instrument he makes was very reassuring. As he told me, "I live in the pacific northwest, and I get to do what I love for a living. What do I have to complain about". Pro level instruments made by a first class guy.

I have over 1,000 gigs on that bad boy. A decent chunk of them are bourbon street gigs, which can last 6-8 hours in very humid conditions. I do sweat a lot, though. I use elixirs out of financial necessity.

I come more to see old friends and make a few new ones. The coffee is usually good and the food was especially good this time. A restaurant location does make a difference with food.

Hello Mr Krinkle
I used to use the Audere all the time in J basses. I will admit that I took it out of my first Lull and put in a Nordstrand in its place.
How do you tend to set the eq on yours?
