The Millennium Falcon Bass

One guy made an accidental (probably on purpose) Star Trek instead of Star Wars reference, to which another made another mis-reference to LotR which I mis-referenced.

It's a joke. Well, for some people it's funny. --or was, until now.

There's a thing on IMGUR where anytime someone posts a picture of a scene from Star Wars, someone will comment "I love lord of the rings!" or "I love star trek!" in jest. And in turn, do the same kind of thing to any Star Trek or LOTR posts.

He asked for 10 all in advance, but Luke and Obi-wan have to sell stuff for money to go Obi-wan offers 15 later (I always thought that he assumed the Alderaanian government would foot the bill)

I agree with the one post before this saying Obi-Wan sensed SOMETHING would happen to them, voiding payment. That, or he was just tickling Han's greed to be sure he'd take them. The latter was probably George Lucas' intention at the time, but we nerds took it three steps further :D

- "Holding her is dangerous, if word of this gets out it could generate sympathy for the rebellion in the senate."
- "I have traced the rebel spies to her. Now she is my only lead to finding their secret bass."

Let's not over-think this. He was spending other peoples' money, so he didn't really care how much he promised. He offered the moon, and Solo bit. Greed, like you said.

Wow, I feel all geeky now. Also, its hard to believe that movie came out 34 years ago...and I saw it in the theater when it was new. Damn, I'm getting old...:help:

Don't mean to make you feel older than you are, but that movie is 12 years older than me... :hyper:
