Eric Cioe said:Seems like a lot of people (not here though) think that the Oboe and Bassoon are annoying. I like the duck-like tone.
mac_the_sac said:I would disagree a good trombone solo like JJ Johnson or Carl Fontana would play is the best thing in jazz next to a good bass solo. Trumpets....yea annoying.
Also acoustic guitars that are used in a live situation but the only thing you can hear is the pick hitting the strings not the sound its making.

I think they are awesome!

Sorry.

I think the Darkness rocks. I find his voice excessively annoying.

I can't stand Dave Matthews' voice, but have nothing against vocals in general. It's the same as not liking the way someone plays an instrument. It's not the instrument's fault but the player's.

the tamborine... no matter who's playing it, they're never in the pocket and ussually too loud.
On the other hand, there's one instrument that most people find annoying... but i think it should be included a little more in modern, non country, music... the jewsharp. bwang, twang, schlang, byown, twong: the music of angels...

However, in the case of a Theramin, I could see people finding that annoying. In that case, the voice of the instrument itself is that much different and subject to being liked or disliked.
