Reminds me of "The Production Triangle" we used to joke about when I worked in printing.

1. Good
2. Fast
3. Cheap

You can have two, but not the third.

If it's Good and Fast, it won't be cheap. If it's Good and Cheap, it won't be fast. If it's Cheap and Fast, it won't be good.

Seemed to always hold true for print work back in the day. Has seemed applicable to numerous other scenarios since.
Don't see why it shouldn't apply to gigs as well, with slight modification, per Mr Nerve's expression.

I still credit Sean as being the person who made that idea mainstream. I had never heard it before here or anywhere, and I've been around a while. Nobody on TB ever offered that as advice until after that article came out.

Same thing in Advert/Marketing only we didn't offer cheap. Well, we did but we didn't = Advertising. Also the term was "Quality" instead of "Good". Good was a rough, or you were job hunting.
