The Mutron Club : only quacks allowed...

Today's e-mail, from Mu-FX:

This email confirms that you have ordered a Mu-FX Micro-Tron III.

Units will begin shipping this Friday, August 11, 2017.

We have a couple hundred orders and only 2-3 people to process them - so shipping will continue throughout next week.

We will be shipping via FedEx or USPS, dependent upon your shipping destination. If you live in the USA and have a normal shipping address, your unit will more than likely be shipped with FedEx. If you live outside of the USA or have a PO Box as your shipping address, your unit will be shipped with USPS. Orders that included other products from Mu-FX will be shipped with USPS.

You will receive tracking information and/or shipment updates from FedEx or USPS via email.

Important Info:

To make the shipping process more efficient, we will begin generating shipping labels today. Once I have generated a shipping label for your order, you will receive an email from FedEx or USPS. Your unit will not have shipped yet. The tracking number you receive will be valid for your shipment.

When your unit officially ships (either on the 11th or sometime next week) you will receive another update that it has been dropped off at the facility and that the shipping process has begun.

We're hoping that this prepping method will help us get everyone's order out the door by the end of next week!

We truly appreciate your order and your patience in waiting for units to ship.

If you have any further questions about this process, please contact us at [email protected].

Best regards,

Mu-FX

Mike mentioned in a email the first 250 have been sold. More will be ready in 2 weeks. Gives me some time to check out reviews.
I'm gonna have a real hard time not buying one of these if the reviews are as good as I think they are going to be. It's been very stressful so far not pulling the trigger. At some point a man has to do what a man has to do...

Saw this and it sold quick! Almost went for it because of the rarity. As much as i want to say hell yes! I cant see myself spending $800 even for a rare mutron. I hear next year they are going to put out a tru tron 4 anyways...Still very cool though and thought i would share.

I with you on this... a band mate of mine preordered one and should be getting it soon. I plan on giving it a spin on the bass...

Microtron delivered yesterday. Ruined my evening plans. Dare I say, it just may be the quest-ender I've sought. Definitely supplants the Proton (which I never quite bonded with). Been long too long since I've played a Mutron, and I've never played a Trutron, but in my limited opinion the Microtron certainly seems worthy of the "tron" suffix. It may not be the most flexible or juiciest filter I've ever tried, but it just has a distinctly smooth, well-calibrated quack that is very musical and quick to dial in.

I threw up some not-great-quality samples on soundcloud here, running the microtron with a handful of other effects. It also sounds great with a drier signal of course.

Thanks for the samples!

Still waiting on my tracking number email...

The samples sound good, but I would say you have a very distinct attack. Did you have any issues getting the pedal to trigger? The early reviews over on The Gear Page have been mixed, at best.
