Wow why so quick? Whats your review of it? It was shipped in a padded envelope!? Flat rate medium usps box is i think $13
It sounds great! (When it triggers.) I pretty much exclusively play passive Fender basses. I had to boost my signal like crazy and I still had issues with the attack (and lack of available adjustment) and a large signal drop when engaged. I'm a fan of the DiscomBOBulator and have been trying to unseat it for a while. Unfortunately it is the best I've found for my board.
No hard feelings and I hope I can help out someone who missed out on the sale and isn't willing to play the odds on a second batch.
I missed out on the Tru. I've played an original at a local studio on multiple occasions. I did not have any attack/envelope open-close issues with the original or need to boost heavily. Like I said, the micro sounds great (and very close to my recollection of the original) - I'm just having issues with the attack and envelope timing playing back lines I regularly play on gigs. The several db volume drop would also make this pedal a "no-go" on my gig board.
I would have bit on this like a hungry brown trout... until I tried to demo it last night and I couldn't due to too close together jacks.

I'm with you, after trying an absolute butt load of filters, Trutron 3X included, the Disco Bob v2 is the king for me. I am still slightly interested in the Microtron though for either deep subby sweeps or for use with an expression pedal. I would love someone to post an expression pedal demo vs the Moog or Xerograph if that were possible!

I didn't spend much time on comparison because the Micro-tron III just sounds awesome and it sounds exactly what I expected from Mike's. Also, I simply need the filter sounding that I play in the video, so I didn't mess with the knobs, just set it and play.
First of all, before I make comment on the Micro, I have to state something I don't really like on the Mutron and Tru-tron..
My Mutron is a Lsound modded Mutron, but still you can't really get a balance and matching vol level with the clean tone, so it is a bit difficult to play in live if I do a lot of effects switching no matter I got bypass looper or not.. It sounds great and easy to play tho.
Another downside is you have to use the adapter for that, for batteries, I believe you only got few hours or less of battery life to spend.
Tru-tron - better version of Mu-tron in terms of flexibility and size, love the Pre mode to adjust the vol but the 12v AC power requirement / input|output placement is a bit trouble for pedalboard building, another thing I wanna point out is, It is slightly difficult for me to get the "sweet spot" with Tru-tron, took me sometimes to adjust whenever I switch different basses (I play active basses mostly)
But then both units sounds great, original filter sounding that everyone after and preferred... that's my 0.2 cents

FINALLY...EVERYTHING I don't like on Mutron and tru-tron is all gone! The Micro sounds pretty similar to Mu-tron, easy to dial what I need, 9V DC, small package, really friendly on pedalboard building....sorry.. I have to stop typing.. I want to play the bass now.

I completely echo this. I also have an Lsound modded mutron. So far I'd say this thing has the ability to set it and forget it.
I have a Mutron III and the Micro. I find it easier to use so far than the Mu, but I have always had issues getting it to work right live. I'm gigging the Micro for the first time today. I'll let you know.
Yeah, everybody has different gear and different playing styles so what works for me may not work for others but:
- I used the Micro-Tron III with my lowest output bass (Nordstrand 70's wind Jazz Bars with an extra 2% underwind played in passive mode) and it triggered just fine. I had to turn the gain up a fair amount but in comparison I have to dime the sensitivity on the Xerograph with this bass. The MicroTron still had 1/4 of the knob left to travel.
- With all my basses I easily got unity gain or more with the level control.
- The jacks are a bit close together but otherwise there's nothing for me to complain about so far.
