Yeah, I'd just never seen that brown one before. I know about the CEB-3, I used to own one, good pedal but not great.

ya the brown one's a bit like that too. had one on my board for a while. eventually got replaced by a Unichorus and subsequently the Analogman Chorus.

The analog CE-2B is more like the analog CE-2 than the digital CEB-3; at least to my ears it is.

OMFG - just picked up a blow torch last night and i can't keep my hands off it. i was late to meet friends for dinner yesterday because i couldn't turn it off. i ended up staying up late once i got home so i could (quietly) riff around on it. heck, i was almost late to work today because i wanted to jam on it. the band is going to hate me this weekend at rehearsal when i fire this beast up and let sonic-hell break loose.

when i first picked it up at the Mesa/Boogie shop in Hollywood last saturday, i didn't think much of it. i plugged in and noodled and wasn't all that impressed. the buzz felt weak and the gain wasn't high enough for my tastes (i started off as a metal guitardist and like lots of compressed gain). however all week, the pedal's sound has been stuck in my head. i went back to several of my favorite albums and gave them a listen. i pulled out some Manson and Ministry and Grendel and found the bass sounds there sounded like something the blow torch could replicate. also, the guy at the Mesa/Boogie shop turned me on to the M6 Carbine and 12" speaker cabinets, both of which were nothing like what i thought i wanted when i first looked at them, but i have fallen in love with since. i went to the well one more time and trusted the advice of the guy in the shop and BINGO!!! another winner.

right now, i've been playing a goth t-bird into a small guitar amp (Mesa Subway Rocket - 20w through a 10" built-in speaker + a 15" powerhouse cabinet attached). i also ran it through my Line6 filter pedal and the synth sounds were glorious. i can't wait to get into the lockout and jack this beast into the Carbine and the 2X12 & the 1X15 at the same time.

I have an M-80, M-188 Bass Auto Q, and an old Distortion + (early 80's). (previously owned the Bass Octave (M-88???).

Future plans are to pick up a M-117 Flanger, and possibly a M-169 Carbon Copy and 105Q Bass wah.

I'm a fan of MXR pedals...

OK, so since the post above, I have added a M-117 Flanger, and a Stereo Chorus...And am currently looking at a Carbon Copy...

I sold the M-80...not because I didn't like it, but I just have this thing for trying and flipping preamps...

Guyzz Carbon Copy is highly recommended if you haven't get it yet. It's an analog delay (if you're an analog fan like me) and has a modulation option on it. If you kick that in, this little green devil shimmers with a subtle chorus in your delayed signal. Fell in love with it. There might be other delay pedals in the market that does this and that but including the tiny footprint, this one satisfied all my expectations from a delay pedal. I might add one more of these to my board in order to have one really delay the signal and get it repeated and the other to give the reverb like depth to the sound when needed.

Great pedal though. you won't regret.

Just got the Blowtorch, its a killer, agree with other users, this pedal keeps the bottom end alive. 18v gives it heaps of headroom and clarity.Lovin it. Also trying out the El Grande at home, seems to give a great vintagey warm tone.... think i will add the blowtorch to the pedal board though.

2 wah pedals? At the same time or what? :) Also how do you find Zakk Wah? 105q or Zakk? Why? :hiding:

Latest MXR update...I have added a couple of pedals, and now own the following:

- M-117R Flanger
- M-188 Bass Auto Q
- Carbon Copy
- Phase 90
- Stereo Chorus

Fish, Crabby how do you find the stereo Chorus?

I went to the local store to try out some boxes, and God knows why i didn't try the stereo chorus?? :( there was the Carl Martin Bass Chorus I tried. Two different chorus settings could be kicked in but the sound / effect was not enough to replace my Boss Bass Chorus pedal... And the unit was pricey.. So how 'bout this one? Anything worthy?

Cheerzzz

Thanks for the number. To answer your questions oktem, I have the Zakk wah and all the MXR overdrives for my little guitar board that I put together. I pretty much never play guitar but once in awhile its fun to goof around.

For bass I am really impressed with the MXR stereo chorus. Its very full and lush sounding and the bass and treble controls allow you to set it to have either a slight boost or be at unity gain when turned on. The only downsides are the shape takes up a lo9t of room on the pedalboard and it requires 18v for power. Its dead quite, no tone suck and can be really thick and gooeu if you want it to be. makes my fretless sing!
