The Jazz DID win, and it's an even series, my man. Here's to hoping for some ill-effects to linger in Kobe's back! :D

The reason teams don't win on the road are multiple:

1) They're young, inexperienced, and not use to playoff pressure. This is a microcosm of the Charlotte Hornets.

2) They're soft, especially they're big men. I think this one fits the Dallas Mavs, Utah Jazz, and the Sacramento Kings of the old days. How else do you explain the road record of the Utah Jazz this season? They are far to talented to not play .500 ball on the road.

3) Home teams get a good whistle. I think this one really shows with the Celtics. They are allowed to play far more aggressively on defense in their own building. This Celtic team really is right in their with old Pistons, and Knick teams when it comes to contact, bumps, and grabbing on D. At home they get away with it a lot more, especially Paul Pierce. Remember this isn't the old NBA, the rules are different.

4) Role players play better at home. They like the familiarity of their own building Look at Michael Findlay's shooting at home and on the road, same with Barry. These guys can't buy a jump shot on the road in the playoffs. This goes back to the first two reasons, some role players are soft (thats why they're not stars) and they look good when they are getting approval. Some are young, I think this is the biggest reason the Celtics have trouble on the road. The Rondo's, Poes, and Kendricks aren't yet ready for prime time. Plus if the stars (Ray Allen) aren't having as good of games that puts more pressure on those not ready for pressure guys.

Some Teams do win on the Road. Because they are experienced, they aren't soft, and they create and attitude of "expecting to win" in tough situations. To me the Spurs and Pistons are the best examples of this. If you look at the last game with Orlando, the Pistons were down 15 in the third quarter without their best player (and biggest mismatch). And they came back to win with Defense and hitting big shots, no softness there.:D

Yes but experience alone doesn't define it. Dallas Mavericks, I rest my case.:D

The Celtics lose again tonight on the road. They scored 12 points in the fourth period. I'm still not sure about this team. They are way better then Cleveland, and Lebron still hasn't had a monster game. I have a suspicion that the Pistons may be playing the Cavs in the conference finals again.

The Celts/Cavs was intense playoff basketball. Pierce was too worn out from playing defense to score, and the Celts' bench (with the exception of PJ Brown) got outplayed by the Cavs' bench. These games are great old school basketball, where every possession counts. Whoever wins, I'm enjoying this year's playoffs a lot.

Yeah. I'm enjoying this year more too. Maybe it's because the Lakers are going to take it. ;):ninja::hiding:

Ya, I don't get it.....the C's had the best regular season road record, beat every team in the west on their floor and are 0-5 on the road this post season.

I noticed in the Atlanta series and this series when TNT mics the coaches coming out of a timeout that Doc keeps telling his team to attack the basket, they do it a few times and then start settling for jump shots. I think this is the main problem, and the Cavs are playing some killer defense too.

Sam Cassell is killing me!! Mister I-never-met-a-jump-shot-I-didn't-take! Dude, pass the ball!
