why are the hornets dominating the spurs? i'm certainly satisfied with this, but i just don't understand how it's happening.![]()
The Spurs great defense is beginning to show signs of age. Remember a lot of mediocre defensive teams ( Dallas) can look like good defenses in the regular season because they work at it and most teams don't. Oberto is fair, Ginnobli pretty good, Parker a liability, Duncan good, but they don't want to put him on a good player because of fouls, Bowen, good but his rep is catching up with the officials, Barry is Fair, Horry can't guard his mother, Findley can't guard his mothers mother. So the sum of the parts is far better then the parts. Against a team with a lot of weapons that's a tough call.
On offense Parker turns the ball over too much and is more effective when their pushing the ball. To stand a chance the Spurs must slow it down and start their offense from the post. But I'm not sure the "extras" on the Spurs are playoff capable anymore. Home courts have a way of turning things around. The role players always play better at home. But does anyone here see the Spurs taking one in NO?
Watching the Raptors next season will definitely not be the same next year:

I remember Chuck from WJR, seemed like a decent guy.
Interesting Celtics-Cavs game tonight. For those of you who dread a San Antonio-Detroit final this one was more exciting then watching paint dry!Can Anyone beside Kevin Garnett on either of these teams make a shot?
I used to be a huge Spurs fan, but am getting sick of Bowen's cheap play, Kurt Thomas' "bulging eyeballs of disbelief", and the flopfest offered up every game by Gifloppili and Floperto. Tony Parker is a bad, bad man, though.

They were last night though! You're Jazz ain't so jazzy anymore.![]()

Wow - he should get some award for that one, man!
Hah! That was definitely Divacworthy. But at least he doesn't do it on every play.

Fortunately not.
Otherwise he`d be nominated to an Oscar.
