I would be super interested in the 15" version of the 361! How much smaller would that cab be from the 18" deal?

actually, while most Kustoms either had CTS or JBL (as an original upgrade) some Kustoms also came stock with Altecs.
there's a plate on the back of the upgraded cabs that either said JBL D140F, or Altec 421A on them. both of them used two 16 ohm speakers for a total cab impedance of 8 ohms so you could run two of them with a K200 head.
Found this. I think it is the new website for the Acoustic USA 360, or one of them anyway.
Lets watch it grow!

So I guess the real question is...what is the price? I assume people on the list get a price at some point.![]()

He wants to control and limit demand?
Hope he's the only 'investor' because I can't see that flying very far.
Limiting demand makes sense to start with. He does not have the manufacturing capacity to build a zillion of them yet, and after all this work to get it going, I doubt he wants to outsource anything for a while. There's an element of control you lose when you grow too fast. In addition, there's a level of capital you have to have to grow fast which he may or may not have access to. In my own work, I have seen more than one profitable company run aground on cash flow matching problems, and he's probably avoiding those, too.
Not everybody wants to be Wal*Mart.
But you can't have a company by selling 10 amps either. I wasn't suggesting he become Ampeg. There happens to be a middle ground you know.
