For those of you who didn't get to catch any shows on the recent ABPT tours (and for those of us who did, too), here's what you missed:
This is from the same venue -- the Ardmore Theater, just outside Julie's hometown of Philadelphia -- as the EchoTest show that I posted earlier in this thread.
Seat belts recommended.
So, did you make it to any of the shows at the Iridium? I was in NYC Thursday for work-related reasons and lucked into catching Stanley Jordan at the Iridium. It's a tiny place -- I can hardly imagine what it would be like to see the ABPT there! Many thanks, gonna see if I can make it.

It was fun. I don't think I've ever seen anybody play a regular 6-string guitar using a two-handed tapping technique like that, although I've seen plenty of folks play Chapman sticks and various kinds of specialized guitars that are designed to be played that way. His daughter Julia sat in and sang on a few numbers. And I got to chat with him for 10 minutes or so afterwards: really nice guy.Unfortunately I wasn't able to Lobster.
To many personal life things going on.
And I sure can use a break.
How was the Stanley Jordan show?
Thanks. I also think Julie "deserves a huge following," which is why I've been working to keep this series of threads alive for so long. Sometimes I wonder if anyone is listening, so it's great to hear your comments! No S on the seat belts! Lobster - you are the man! Saw them play a lot of this in Chicago. Julie deserves a huge following. Wish I was watching her brother playing with her, no offence to anyone - do you know anything about that? Keep up these posts!
Speaking of two-handed tapping, here's a shot from last night of Julie playing Tony Levin's Chapman stick part on "Elephant Talk":It was fun. One pic of Adrian, one of Tobias, and three of Julie. I like your priorities!Got to see the Adrian Belew Power trio last night, last night of their US tour dates, at Terminal West here in ATL. The band was amazing and Julie Slick's playing was awesome.

A good friend of mine was at this show too, and it blew his doors off. He sent a flurry a texts during the set break, and another flurry after the show, full of words like "awesome," "monster," "killing," etc. -- each punctuated liberally with F-bombs and exclamation points. I talked with him on the phone yesterday, and he was still struggling to find words.
I didn't mean to imply that you had not expressed an adequate level of enthusiasm: I was only quoting your post to remark on the photos, and decided to add my friend's "review" to the discussion. But thanks for adding the extra details.Yeah I kind of undersold my enthusiasm...lol...it was phenomenal. I spent the majority of the show within a few feet of the stage. Their sound was huge, and after 53 or so tour dates, they were ridiculously tight. Can't say enough really for all of them, Tobias Ralph...holy crap! I can only pray I have the energy that Adrian has when I'm 67! And Julie Slick...crazy, flipping' crazy. I took my 19 year old son and my wife who were blown away. I have a bunch more pics and a few vids, but they're not great...I mainly wanted to experience it through my head holes and not through the screen on my phone.

I couldn't agree more about pocketing the camera and enjoying the show in the moment. I don't think I've ever taken a photo or a video during a live show; in fact, it usually never even occurs to me that I could if I wanted to!
